Easy Crock Pot Shrimp Boil

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 smoked beef  sausage, sliced
  • 4 corn cobs, cut into halves or thirds
  • 1–1½ lbs baby potatoes
  • 4 cups water or chicken broth
  • 3 tbsp seafood seasoning (like Old Bay)
  • lemon, sliced
  • 3 cloves  garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Optional: parsley, extra lemon wedges, Cajun seasoning

Instructions

  1. Add potatoes, corn, sausage, garlic, lemon, seasoning, and broth/water to the crock pot.
  2. Cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until potatoes are tender.
  3. Stir in shrimp during the last 20–30 minutes of cooking, until pink and cooked through.
  4. Add butter and stir gently.
  5. Serve hot with extra lemon and parsley if desired.

Tips

  • Shrimp cooks quickly, so don’t add it too early.
  • For extra spice, add Cajun seasoning or red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with crusty bread or rice to soak up the broth.

For a classic seafood-boil twist, many people like adding crab legs or crawfish too.
