Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 bag (20–24 oz) frozen French fries
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup diced onion (optional)
- ½ cup diced pickles (optional but
)
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Burger Sauce:
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp pickle relish
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
Instructions:
1. Cook the fries
- Bake fries according to package directions until crispy
(Important so they don’t get soggy later)
2. Cook the beef
- In a skillet, cook ground beef + onions
- Season with salt & pepper
- Cook until browned, then drain excess grease
3. Make the sauce
- Mix all burger sauce ingredients until smooth
4. Assemble
In a baking dish:
- Layer crispy fries
- Add cooked beef
- Sprinkle cheese generously
5. Bake
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10–15 minutes
until cheese is melted and bubbly
6. Finish
- Drizzle burger sauce over the top
- Add pickles if using
Tips:
- Use crinkle-cut fries for better texture
- Add cheese in layers (fries → cheese → beef → cheese) for max melt
- Broil 2–3 minutes at the end for crispy cheesy edges
