Ingredients
- 1½ lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic powder, and half of the ketchup. Mix until just combined — don’t overmix.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf directly on the sheet pan.
- Spread the remaining ketchup evenly over the top for that classic meatloaf glaze.
- Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until fully cooked and the center reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing to keep it juicy and flavorful.
