Sausage Egg Waffle Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 8 mini waffles
  • 4 breakfast sausage patties
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil
  • Maple syrup, optional

Instructions

  1. Toast the mini waffles according to package directions until golden and crisp.
  2. Cook the sausage patties in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, about 3–4 minutes per side.
  3. In the same skillet, fry or scramble the eggs to your preference.
  4. Place a slice of cheese on each sausage patty while still hot so it melts slightly.
  5. Assemble each sandwich:
  6. 1 waffle
  7. sausage patty
  8. egg
  9. cheese
  10. top with another waffle
  11. Serve warm with maple syrup if desired.

Make-Ahead Tip

Wrap sandwiches individually and freeze. Reheat in the microwave for 1–2 minutes or in the air fryer/toaster oven until hot.
