Ingredients
For the Beef and Gravy:
2 pounds beef stew meat or sirloin tips, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for browning)
1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
3 cups beef broth (low sodium preferred)
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons cold water (for thickening)
For the Noodles:
12 ounces egg noodles
Water and salt for boiling
Optional Garnish:
Fresh parsley, chopped
