Steak Fajitas

Marinade Magic

Before cooking the steak, it’s essential to marinate it to infuse it with rich flavors. For the marinade, you’ll need:

  • 1/4 cup of lime juice
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Mix all the marinade ingredients in a bowl. Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, allowing the flavors to penetrate the meat.

The Main Event – Cooking the Steak

For this part, you’ll need:

  • 1 pound of flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 bell peppers (red, green, or a mix), sliced

Heat one tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook until it’s browned and reaches your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil and sauté the sliced onions and bell peppers until they become tender and slightly caramelized. Add the cooked steak back into the skillet, toss everything together, and cook for an additional minute to meld the flavors.

Wrapping it Up – Serving the Fajitas

To serve the Spicy Steak Fajitas, warm up some flour tortillas in a separate pan until they’re soft and pliable. Fill each tortilla with the steak, onion, and pepper mixture. You can also add some shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, or salsa for extra indulgence.

Roll up the tortilla, and your Spicy Steak Fajitas are ready to be devoured! Serve them with a side of Mexican rice and refried beans for a complete and satisfying meal.
