Instructions

1. Preheat & Prep

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Grease a pie dish with butter or cooking spray.

2. Cook the Beef

  • Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add onion and garlic; cook until soft and fragrant.
  • Season with salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, basil, and Worcestershire.
  • Stir well and remove from heat.

3. Assemble the Pie

  • Spread beef mixture evenly in the pie dish.
  • Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top.

4. Make the Batter

  • In a bowl, whisk together milk, flour, eggs, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
  • Pour over the beef and cheese.

5. Bake & Serve

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden and set.
  • Let cool slightly before slicing.
  • Serve warm with a side salad, pickles, or a drizzle of ketchup for the full cheeseburger experience.
