Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

  1. Place potatoes in a large pot, cover with water, and add a pinch of salt.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook until fork-tender (about 15–20 minutes).
  3. Drain and return to the pot. Add butter, warm cream, and milk. Mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Keep warm.

Step 2: Cook the Beef Bites

  1. Pat steak cubes dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add beef cubes in a single layer (cook in batches if needed). Sear for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked to desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add fresh thyme.
  5. Return beef to skillet and toss in garlic butter until coated.

Step 3: Serve

  1. Spoon creamy mashed potatoes onto plates.
  2. Top with garlic butter beef bites and drizzle extra sauce from the pan.
  3. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
