Christmas Snickerdoodles – The Perfect Holiday Gift!

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • 2 cups white sugar (divided)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. Cream Butter & Sugar: In a mixing bowl, cream softened butter with 1 1/2 cups sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
  4. Add Eggs: Beat in eggs one at a time, ensuring they are well mixed.
  5. Combine: Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture until a dough forms.
  6. Cinnamon-Sugar Coating: In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1/2 cup sugar with cinnamon.
  7. Shape: Roll dough into 1 3/4-inch balls, then coat each in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Bake: Arrange on a baking sheet, leaving about 3 inches of space between each. Bake for 9-10 minutes or until lightly golden.
  9. These snickerdoodles will bring warm holiday cheer to any gathering!
